Vive la résistance!

Vive la résistance!

Let’s show them how strong our movement really is

We keep talking about “resist” and the “resistance.”

It makes sense for creatives to invite our fit brothers and sisters to join us for Create to Liberate on April 19. Perhaps you, yourself, can pull your own weight.

So, let’s bring (or “borrow from the gym”) our resistance bands into the public realm for non-threatening but strength-building workouts.

Consider conspicuous locations like:

  • Tesla dealerships.
  • U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Field Offices.
  • Plazas in front of Federal courthouses.
  • The law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
  • During a meeting of your local public school board that voucher scam chumps have overthrown.

Visiting DC?

Cool! Loop your band through the White House fence or around a Corinthian column at the Supreme Court. Wrap one around one of the U.S. Capitol’s great wall of steel bollards or stand atop the bunker blocks that ring FBI headquarters.

When all else fails, there are crowd control barricades everywhere that might withstand a reverse fly or two.

But don’t really stand on a Cybertruck, OK?

  • Damaging someone else’s property is unlawful and too January 6 cringe.
  • The Deplorean would collapse underneath you, triggering another recall.

Don’t forget to stream the perfect workout music through a Bluetooth speaker so everyone nearby can get physical with you!

Build muscle, improve endurance and strengthen bones while showing the current administration that you, literally, resist what they are trying to do to our country.

Let’s get animal, animal, I wanna get animal, let’s get into animal.
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk, let me hear your body talk.

From “Physical” by Terry Shaddick and Steve Kipner, recorded by Olivia Newton-John (1981)

We invite individual visual and performing artists, writers, bookstores, book clubs, brave non-profit or government organizations and other individuals or groups across the USA to independently “flood the zone” with creativity, for Create to Liberate, Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Think of the idea above as a pilot light for the creative fire within you (if yours needs to be lit.)
