Words endure long after regimes fall

One idea for an April 19 activity would be to speak and write erased words and, in so doing, help silence the evil in men’s hearts.

Erasure

The New York Times” has identified more than one-hundred words and terms that the new administration is erasing from federal government agencies, programs and documents.

“As President Trump seeks to purge the federal government of ‘woke’ initiatives, agencies have flagged hundreds of words to limit or avoid, according to a compilation of government documents.”

We’d laugh if it weren’t so tyrannical.

We plan to share these words here and blast them out to the universe on April 19, as an act of art activism for Create to Liberate. Join us in doing so!

We also think they’d make a nice sign, a great quilt, an entertaining one-person show, even an entire wall of graffiti.

Word.

A word is dead
When it is said,
Some say.
I say it just
Begins to live
That day.

Emily Dickinson

We invite individual visual and performing artists, writers, bookstores, book clubs, brave non-profit or government organizations and other individuals or groups across the USA to independently “flood the zone” with creativity, for Create to Liberate, Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Think of the idea above as a pilot light for the creative fire within you (if yours needs to be lit.)
