We invite individual visual and performing artists, writers, bookstores, book clubs, brave non-profit or government organizations and other individuals or groups across the USA to independently “flood the zone” with creativity, for Create to Liberate, Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Think of the following idea as a pilot light for the creative fire within you (if yours needs to be lit.)
Create to Liberate Idea No. 11
“The best thing someone can do,” stated a visual artist on the Threads social media platform. “Is to boost the art I post by reposting it or sharing the link to my post.”
The painter added that she could see results of the social media boost. Traffic to her website increased and she sold a few pieces as the result of the uptick.
This is a great idea
What a simple and positive act of art activism we can all take!
- Find a social media post of a writer, visual artist, musician, actor or other emerging artist who is talking about their work or an upcoming performance.
- Repost it or, better yet, repost it or copy the link to the post and comment on it on the same social media platform.
- Best yet, get the link to the artist’s website and share it anywhere online with a note like, “I am determined to help bring attention to the artists who are creating good work for our world. Here’s an intriguing artist I just came across. Please check them out.”
We can do this every day, but we can especially take this action on Saturday, April 19 during our day for art activism.
